IIT Delhi Introduces Weekend AI in Healthcare Programme for Working Professionals
New Online Course by IIT Delhi to Train Professionals in AI Applications for Healthcare

In a strategic effort to align healthcare with emerging technologies, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, in collaboration with edtech firm TeamLease, has launched a 24-week online executive programme in Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Healthcare. This initiative aims to empower professionals, including clinicians, engineers, data scientists, and med-tech entrepreneurs, with essential technical and analytical skills required to drive innovation across patient care, diagnostics, public health, and hospital operations.
Combining academic depth with hands-on learning, the programme enables participants to engage with clinical datasets, analyse hospital information systems, and develop AI models for use in diagnosis, risk assessment, medical imaging, and predictive analytics. Priced at ₹1.20 lakh plus 18% GST, the course is open to graduates already working within the healthcare or AI sectors, whether in industry or academia.
Participants will be prepared for advanced roles such as AI/ML Engineer, Healthcare Data Scientist, Clinical AI Researcher, Digital Health Consultant, Medical Imaging Analyst, AI Product Manager in HealthTech, and Regulatory/Data Governance Specialist. These positions demand expertise in AI-driven solutions, effective use of healthcare data, and adherence to regulatory standards. Scheduled to begin in November, the programme will be delivered through live and interactive sessions held online during weekends, with registration available via IIT Delhi’s official website. This initiative reflects a growing recognition of AI’s transformative role in healthcare and India’s commitment to developing future-ready professionals in the sector.
