Collaboration Strengthens India's Culinary Education Landscape and Provides Global Career Opportunities

Le Cordon Bleu, the renowned culinary arts and hospitality management institution from France has once again collaborated with the LCB Campus at GD Goenka University to enhance its brand presence in India. This announcement marked one decade of the relationship between GD Goenka and LCB. They plan on tripling the student capacity to meet the increasing demands for quality hospitality and culinary arts education. This also highlights the recognition of Indian talent which is being recruited by global brands across markets in many regions.

The campus will feature a 50,000 sq. ft. area for technical training, which will be housed within GD Goenka Education City in Gurugram. The campus will also provide immense benefits for students and industry alike, including student and faculty exchange programs, global pathway opportunities, internships, and placements. There is the introduction of a culinary theatre, three new training kitchens, two new pastry kitchens, one new bakery, one additional chocolate artistry room, and multiple student experience areas. This will aid the teaching and training of 500 additional learners.

LCB India students will have access to defined LCB articulation pathways which will enable them to transfer to other LCB campuses while providing global exposure and opportunities for career advancement. The partnership will facilitate opportunities for faculty exchange and Management Development Programs and also foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development. Indian students will benefit from the international visiting faculty from Paris and they will also have the opportunity to intern with LCB’s partners in Europe and other areas.

Andre J Cointreau, President and CEO of LCB has stated they feel proud of the partnership they have had with GD Goenka University for a decade. This has been a major reason to move ahead at full speed to change from a partnership of programs to a full campus. The Managing Director of GD Goenka Group, Nipun Goenka has reciprocated the feelings of Cointreau. He mentioned that they want to deliver an unparalleled campus experience in India through this new collaboration.

Editor's Note:

Collaborations with international organizations allow students to gain a better understanding of the realm. Skilled professionals as those in culinary arts and hospitality require a deeper comprehension of the operating environment and such exposure allows them to not only hone their skills but also work with any organization around the globe increasing their career opportunities.

Post a decade-long partnership the investment to enhance the facilities on the campus along with comprehensive expansion with training facilities and articulations, crafts a world-class learning experience and students who wish to work with international organizations in this department would be enthralled by the experience.
