Final-Year MITS Students to Gain Global Exposure at the University of Aizu

MITS and University of Aizu Collaborate for International Research Internship

The recent selection of seven final-year B.Tech students from Madanapalle Institute of Technology and Science (MITS) for a prominent two-month international internship at the University of Aizu in Japan is a significant achievement. The University of Aizu, located in Fukushima Prefecture, Japan, is a renowned public institution specializing in computer science and engineering. Established in 1993, it offers cutting-edge education and research in both hardware and software.

The University, known for its international faculty (40% from overseas), offers bilingual education with many courses in English. Its focus on entrepreneurship ensures nearly 100% graduate employment, while its emphasis on advanced technology, global collaboration, and practical application positions it as a leader in computer science education. Seven final-year B.Tech students named Pallavi Konduru, Manasa Nellori, Ayesha Penugonda, Sai Ganeswari Nallapusala, Bindusree Gopalappa, Indu Easwar Shivani Nayuni, and Jaswanth Muthinedi will be guided by Prof. Uday Kiran Rage and supported by Tatsuki Kawaguchi, Director of International Programs, the students will gain valuable global exposure.

The internship opportunity resulted from MITS' collaboration with global institutions, led by Mr. Kawaguchi and Vijaya Lakshmi Udayagiri. The partnership aims to enhance educational and research ties. The internship will offer students exposure to advanced technologies and a global academic environment, showcasing MITS’ commitment to internationalisation. The students and Ms. Udayagiri thanked Mr. Kawaguchi for his contributions.

The college correspondent, N. Vijaya Bhaskar Choudary, executive director Keerthi Nadella, principal C. Yuvaraj, and faculty members all praised the students' achievement and congratulated them for advancing MITS' global research initiatives.
