This commitment to advancing the healthcare field was on full display on March 26 during the 2025 Outstanding Alumni Awards ceremony, a prestigious event designed to celebrate the remarkable achievements of its alumni.

Among the distinguished honorees were Nesheta Akhter (Applied Health Informatics, class of 2014), Christopher Caravella (Health Science, class of 2009), and Nina DePaola (Physical Therapy, class of 1987). The list of honorees also included Leah Holbrook (Health Care Policy Management, class of 2007), Tazia Shaw-Harrison (Clinical Laboratory Sciences, class of 2008), Brian Mitra (Health Science, class of 2001), Sasha Russ (Respiratory Care, class of 2012), Christopher Stoebe (Physician Assistant, class of 2005), Luke Schiele (Occupational Therapy, class of 2020), and Claudine Weiner (Athletic Training, class of 1993). Each of these individuals was recognised for their exceptional contributions to the healthcare profession and their commitment to improving the lives of others.
