CBSE Reminds Schools of Responsibility for Compliance with Affiliation Bye-Laws
CBSE Warning Alert: Affiliated Schools Must Adhere to CBSE’s Strict Guidelines
Dec 10, 2024 |
Schools seeking affiliation with the CBSE must comply with the criteria in Affiliation Bye-Laws, 2018. These regulations outline essential requirements, including infrastructure standards, curriculum guidelines, teacher qualifications, and administrative procedures. The primary objective of these bye-laws is to ensure that affiliated schools uphold high educational standards and provide a conducive learning environment for students.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has taken stringent action against 34 schools for failing to comply with the terms and conditions outlined in its affiliation law 2018. A show-cause notice has been issued to these institutions, emphasizing the need for adherence to CBSE regulations. Additionally, CBSE has warned schools about inadvertently participating in sports events organized by the "CBSE Board School Games Welfare Society (CBSE-WSO)" in Agra, Uttar Pradesh. The board clarified that this organization is not affiliated with CBSE and cautioned schools against engaging with it or participating in its sports competitions. The CBSE referenced its earlier Circular No. 04/2019, dated January 30, 2019, which underscores the importance of adhering to the Affiliation Bye-Laws.
According to Clause No. 12, any non-compliance with the regulations will be treated as a violation, and action will be taken under Chapter 12 of the Affiliation Bye-Laws, 2018. Furthermore, Clause No. 9.2 holds the heads of affiliated schools responsible for ensuring strict compliance with all provisions and directives issued by CBSE. Schools and stakeholders can find the list of institutions that issued a show-cause notice on CBSE’s official website. This action serves as a stern reminder to schools to remain vigilant and ensure full compliance with CBSE’s guidelines to uphold educational and administrative standards.
