Innovative Scholarship at IIT Bombay Aims to Boost Women Students' Growth Beyond Financial Aid!

IIT Bombay’s Latest Scholarship Initiative Enhances Financial Aid and Holistic Development for Women Scholars

Female students from underprivileged communities who generally feel disadvantaged due to their lack of resources and support to excel in their studies are now going to be empowered, as Kotak Education Foundation (KEF) has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with IIT Bombay to promote the academic journey of these students.

The Kotak Kanya- IIT Bombay Scholarship of Rs 2.85 lakh per year is aimed to support young women throughout their professional graduating course. According to the institute, this scholarship is not merely financial assistance but also promotes the overall development of scholars through student involvement and completion of school activities.

Eligibility criteria for scholarship:

• Applicants must have obtained at least 75% or an equivalent CGPA in the class 12 board examination to apply for the scholarship.
• The applicant's annual family income must be less than 5,00,000.
• Meritorious girls who have been admitted to the first year of graduation programs at IIT Bombay for BTech, BS, BDes, and integrated Master's degrees in the academic year 2024-25.
• Applicants must rank within the top 20,000 of the advanced Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Advanced).

The Kotak Kanya IIT Bombay Scholarship offers a holistic strategy to prepare students for the professional world. Under the program, selected students will receive engagement assistance in the form of mentoring sessions, life skills, and mental health sessions in conjunction with finishing school organizations. To help kids on their academic path. KEF will also provide engineering and medical students with additional Unstop and Marrow subscriptions.
