The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test is a pivotal examination in India for all aspiring medical professionals since 2013. Regretfully, this year's NEET exams have taken an extraordinary turn of events; but, with the release of the retest results, candidates can now breathe a sigh of relief. 

Today on July 1, NTA announced the results of 1,563 candidates for the 2024 National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate re-test. These students can now access their scorecards on the official website of NEET. The final answer key of the NEET UG re-test was released on Saturday followed by the test’s official scorecard release on Monday. 

NTA administered a retest for those 1,563 candidates who had originally received grace marks due to loss of time in the exam. The re-test was conducted in various centers within the same 6 cities.813 students took the second exam of NEET UG.

After the re-test which was scheduled on 23rd June 2024, the Examination authority provided the provisional answer keys, scanned copies of the OMR answer sheets, and recorded responses of 813 applicants on 28th June 2024. The exam conducting authorities declared that the NEET UG re-test exam results are finalised and assured that the challenges were examined thoroughly by professionals. The updated scorecards for every NEET UG 2024 applicant who appeared for the June 23, 2024 retest are available to the public on the internet. Students can now download their updated scorecards by logging on to the official website.

After the NTA administered the NEET-UG exam on May 5, 67 students—six from the same center—got a perfect score of 720, causing controversy. A commotion was also created by the 1,563 pupils who received ‘grace marks.’ The medical entrance exam paper leaks are being investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and has already made a number of arrests.
