Newcastle University Extends Scholarship Programme for International Undergraduates

Newcastle University is a member of the eminent Russell Group and is known for its excellence in research and teaching across various disciplines such as medicine, engineering, social sciences, and the humanities. With a diverse student body of over 28,000 individuals from more than 130 countries, the university offers a dynamic and globally oriented-academic environment. The University has introduced the Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship Programmes for undergraduate students beginning their studies in the 2025/26 academic year. The initiative is designed to assist talented international students by providing financial support, with awards ranging from £6,000 to full tuition fee coverage. The scholarship will be available starting in September 2025.

To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must meet the below criteria:

  • They should be domiciled in one of the following countries: India, Bahrain, Canada, Indonesia, Jordan, Malaysia, Nigeria, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Turkey, UAE, USA, or Vietnam. 
  • Applicants must hold an offer for an undergraduate degree at Newcastle University's city centre campus for the 2025/26 academic session.
  • Students need to be classified as international students for tuition fee purposes.

The scholarship offers a reduction of £6,000 in tuition fees, and there are 250 scholarships available in total. All eligible applicants will be automatically considered for the scholarship as part of their undergraduate application.
