Strathclyde University Launches £5,000 to £7,000 Scholarships for Science Students

International Students to Benefit from Strathclyde's New Scholarship Schemes

The University of Strathclyde, located in Glasgow, has recently introduced a set of scholarship schemes aimed at supporting international students enrolling in undergraduate programs within its Faculty of Science for the 2025-2026 academic year. These scholarships, which range in value from £5,000 to £7,000 per annum, will be awarded to a maximum of 25 students. The selection process will be based on the applicant's academic achievements and their involvement in extracurricular activities or professional accomplishments.

The university announced that up to 25 scholarships, ranging from £5,000 to £7,000 per year, will be competitively awarded to applicants with an offer of admission and exceptional academic performance. These scholarships are renewable each year, with the application deadline set for July 31. Eligible subjects include Biochemistry, Biology, Biomedical Science, Chemistry, Computer Science, Forensic Science, Immunology, Mathematics, Microbiology, Pharmacy, Pharmacology, and Physics.

To be eligible for the Faculty of Science Undergraduate International Scholarship, applicants must be new, fee-paying international students with an offer for first or second-year entry to a full-time undergraduate degree. They must have excellent academic records and be self-funded. Students with full government or embassy scholarships are not eligible. As the scholarships are awarded on a rolling basis, early application is encouraged.

In addition, the Strathclyde Business School is offering scholarships ranging from £6,000 to £8,000 for full-time overseas students enrolling in its September 2025 programs. These scholarships are available for courses such as Accounting & Finance, Economics, Entrepreneurship, Marketing, and others. Applicants must be self-funded, hold an offer for a September 2025 program, and apply from mid-January 2025. The initial deadline is April 30, 2025, and decisions are typically made within a week of receiving the program offer.
