CUET UG Result Delays Leave Students and Parents Frustrated

Uncertainty Begins: Delay in CUET UG Results Affects University Start Dates

In the educational journey of a student, every minute is valuable. The delay in the result announcement places immense pressure not only on the students but also on their parents, heightening the anxiety and uncertainty during this crucial phase. The results for the Common University Entrance Test for Undergraduates (CUET UG) have been deferred by the National Testing Agency (NTA), causing a significant delay in the commencement of the first semester classes at established universities like Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) and Delhi University (DU). This delay in the announcement of results has sparked widespread concern among students who were eagerly waiting for the next steps in their academic journeys.

A JNU representative informed IndianExpress.com that the postponement of the commencement of the new semester is attributed to the delay in the CUET results. Although the CUET UG exam 2024 was conducted in three sessions by the National Testing Agency from 15 to 29 May and results were supposed to be announced on June 30 but the ongoing NEET UG issue and other claims of paper leaks have caused a delay. This postponement will surely affect the whole year of the students as sessions will start late.

Delhi University as well as JNU is anticipated to move its undergraduate program from August 16 as Vice Chancellor Yogesh Singh has stated. Thousands of students and almost 261 universities, including establishments like Allahabad University and Banaras Hindu University (BHU), await the CUET-UG results to begin the undergraduate admission process. University Grants Commission (UGC) Chief M. Jagadesh Kumar has reassured students that the NTA is working diligently to announce the results as soon as possible. Students have to keep patience during this period and have an update through the official university website.

Editor’s Note:

The deferment of CUET-UG results by the NTA has undeniably caused a ripple effect in the academic journey of thousands of students and institutions. The ongoing issues and controversies in NEET exams as well as paper leak issues create a negative impact on the whole education system. In this tough situation, it is crucial to stay resilient and adaptable to face these challenges. Universities are committed to minimizing the disruption and ensuring that students can begin their academic journeys with as little further delay as possible.
