IITD-AD Welcomes Second Batch of Undergraduates with Enhanced Admission Options
Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, Abu Dhabi, Introduces Combined Admission Entrance Test for 2025

The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, Abu Dhabi (IITD-AD) has announced admissions for its second batch of undergraduate programmes for 2025-26. Offering B.Tech programmes in Computer Science, Energy Science, and Chemical Engineering, admissions will be through JEE (Advanced) 2025 and the Combined Admission Entrance Test (CAET) 2025. CAET will be held in two sessions: February 16 and April 13, 2025, with the higher score considered for final selection. CAET 2025 will be a 3-hour, pen-and-paper test in English, with 60 questions equally divided among Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Test centres will be in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah (UAE), and New Delhi (India), with potential additional venues for Session 2 based on applications.
One-third of the seats will be allocated through JEE (Advanced) 2025, while two-thirds will be filled through CAET 2025. CAET seats are open to UAE nationals, international students, and Indian expatriates who have completed high school and five years of education in the UAE. Since January 2024, IIT Delhi – Abu Dhabi has launched an MTech in Energy Transition and Sustainability, BTech programmes in Computer Science and Engineering and Energy Engineering, and a PhD programme in Energy and Sustainability.
Applicants can apply for one or both CAET sessions, with the higher score considered for both. Top performers in Session 1 will receive "early admission." Final seat allocation will be based on the combined merit list and candidates' preferred disciplines after Session 2. For important dates and more details, aspirants can visit abudhabi.iitd.ac.in.
