MHT CET CAP Round I Schedule Announced Following Merit List Release
Maharashtra CET Cell Publishes Final Merit List for Engineering Admissions
Jul 28, 2025 |
In a significant development in the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) for undergraduate technical courses in Maharashtra, the State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell released the final merit list on 24 July 2025. This list covers candidates from both the PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) and PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) streams who are seeking admission to first-year programmes in engineering, technology (4-year), and integrated 5-year master’s degrees. Candidates can now view the final merit list through the official websites — cetcell.mahacet.org and fe2025.mahacet.org. This follows the publication of the provisional merit list and the conclusion of the grievance redressal window.
Furthermore, the provisional category-wise seat matrix for CAP Round 1 is scheduled to be published on 25 July. Following this, candidates will be required to submit and confirm their option forms between 26 and 28 July through their login portals. The provisional allotment list is expected to be released on 31 July. As part of the process, candidates must self-verify their CAP Round I seat allotment between 1 and 3 August. This includes confirming a declaration through their login that all claims related to qualifying marks, category, gender, and reservations are correct and supported by valid documents.
In cases where candidates identify errors in their claims during this period, they must raise a grievance online via their login. According to the guidelines, candidates allotted their first preference in Round I (auto-freezed) must pay the seat acceptance fee online and will not be eligible to participate in further rounds. The same applies to those who receive a lower preference and choose to self-freeze their seat. On the other hand, candidates who are allotted a seat other than their first preference and wish to be considered in future rounds must select the ‘Not Freeze’ option. These candidates are also required to pay the seat acceptance fee online. With these structured steps in place, the CET Cell aims to ensure a smooth and transparent admission process for all eligible candidates.
Editor’s Note:
The release of the final merit list for MHT CET 2025 marks a crucial phase in Maharashtra’s Centralised Admission Process for engineering and technology courses. With thousands of students awaiting their seat allotments, the process now moves into a decisive stage involving option form submissions, self-verification, and seat acceptance.
However, the complexity of the procedure, from verifying claims to choosing freeze or non-freeze options, requires students to stay well-informed and cautious. Any oversight could affect their eligibility in future rounds. The authorities must also ensure the online systems remain stable and accessible during this critical period.
Skoobuzz encourages students to follow the instructions carefully, meet the deadlines, and seek clarification if needed to avoid last-minute complications.
