On January 20, the university announced the opening of registrations for the NUCAT BTech 2025 Test 1, the entrance examination for its prestigious undergraduate engineering programs. It was announced that the NUCAT will be conducted online in a centre-based mode at various test centres. The B.Tech program at Nitte University is a four-year undergraduate course that focuses on engineering and technology, emphasizing the practical application of scientific and mathematical principles to solve real-world challenges. The institution offers a wide range of BTech programs at its flagship institutions, NMAMIT in Nitte and NMIT in Bengaluru. The programs cover traditional engineering disciplines as well as innovative fields like Aeronautical, AI & Data Science, AI & Machine Learning, Biotechnology, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Cyber Security, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics Engineering (VLSI), Information Science, Mechanical, and Robotics & AI.

The University’s programs focus on practical learning, advanced facilities, and an industry-relevant curriculum to ensure academic and professional success. The university offers scholarships to meritorious students who secure 80% or more in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in Class 12 and top ranks in NUCAT 2025. Additionally, 10% of seats are reserved for non-Karnataka students under the Inclusivity category, with admission based on merit in NUCAT 2025.

Candidates eligible for admission under the NRI category will be assessed based on their marks in the optional subjects of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in the Class 12 examination, with seats allocated according to inter-se merit. The last date for registration is January 26, 2025, and the NUCAT 2025 test will be held from February 1-3, 2025.
